SCHOLARSHIPS
To honor Brooke and preserve her legacy, spirit, and way of living, the D'Aleo Family has created two scholarships per school year available to members of the John Jay High School graduating class whose own resilience, kindness, and character reflect the spirit of Brooke's life.
The Brooke D'Aleo Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created in loving memory of Brooke, a courageous young girl who faced her battle with cancer with unmatched strength, grace, and determination. Throughout her journey, Brooke remained deeply committed to her education and inspired everyone around her with her resilience and unwavering positivity, teaching us all the true meaning of perseverance. Brooke’s legacy will live on through this award, supporting students who show resilience, hope, and community spirit in adversity, as a tribute to her inspiring life.

"99" Softball Scholarship
Brooke was a dedicated and passionate athlete who made a lasting impact on the John Jay softball community. Brooke was known not only for her exceptional talent on the field but also for her unwavering sportsmanship and positive attitude. Through this scholarship we seek to carry on her legacy by supporting young female softball athletes who embody the same qualities of hard work, dedication, and kindness that Brooke demonstrated throughout her career. This scholarship is awarded to the player with unshakeable character both on and off the field- one built on grit and fueled by heart and fierce loyalty to her team.
